The Epsilon Chi Center is a 1,200 sqm air-conditioned sports facility housing a FIBA standard basketball court of world-class maple wood floor, located beside the Molave Residence Hall. Designed by Arch. Shamcey Supsup-Lee, the P30-million structure also includes 7 commercial spaces and 6 function rooms at the mezzanine.
The structure is tropically inspired which let it stay cool even in warmest outside temperature. The court is equipped with 2 FIBA standard backstop system and 4 sets of shooting backboards, and can also be converted into a volleyball court. This world class facility is now the home of the UP Men’s Basketball Team.
This is the UP Epsilon Chi Fraternity’s way of showing gratitude to the University of the Philippines.
The UP Epsilon Chi Fraternity, founded in October 2, 1964, is an Engineering-based fraternity in University of the Philippines - Diliman and a University-based fraternity in University of the Philippines - Los Baños.
Since its founding in 1964 by 32 engineering scholars, it has produced a line of student leaders, board top-notchers in their respective fields, government officials here and abroad, respected luminaries of the academe, and pillars of industry in the private sector.
From young entrepreneurs, to professors in the academic field, to decision makers in government and in industry, the UP Epsilon Chi Fraternity has taken pride in molding leaders from its ranks, instilled with the ideals of excellence, nationalism, and the vision of a better tomorrow.
A relatively young fraternity, we have the benefit of the wisdom of the earlier generations of our brothers, and the fire and idealism of our younger generations, helping the brotherhood build a stronger Epsilon Chi and responsive to the changing times.
